MIGRATION TO FRAMER
Framer migration agency: move off WordPress, Webflow or Squarespace without losing your rankings
Plenor moves marketing sites to Framer in 3 to 5 weeks, from $3,500, with every old URL mapped and redirected before the switch. One designer does the work, an Official Framer Expert, and your team gets the keys and tutorial videos at the end.

Who Plenor migrates to Framer
Funded startups with a marketing site on the wrong platform. Usually the site was built fast, on WordPress or Webflow, before the round. Now the product has moved on, the site has not, and every edit goes through a developer or a plugin that breaks.
The typical brief has three parts. The site has to look like the company it is now. The marketing team, often one person, has to be able to run it without a developer. And the traffic Google already sends must survive the move.
We only build in Framer. If you are set on staying on WordPress or moving to Webflow, we are not the right shop, and we will say so on the first call.
The part most migrations skip: the redirect map
When a site moves, the URLs change. If nobody maps the old ones to the new ones, Google finds a wall of 404s, and the rankings you spent two years building go with them. People usually find out three months later, when traffic has quietly halved.
So the migration starts with a URL inventory, not a design. Every page, post, tag and image URL that has ever been indexed goes into a sheet. Each one gets a destination on the new site or a deliberate decision to retire it. The 301 redirects go live the same minute the DNS does. Then we watch Search Console for 30 days and fix whatever it flags.
That is the whole difference between a migration and a rebuild that happens to have a new address.
How Plenor runs a migration, in six steps
01
Audit and URL inventory (days 1 to 3)
Crawl the current site, export Search Console, list every indexed URL and what it earns. Agree what moves, what merges and what retires.
02
Content and CMS map (days 3 to 5)
Decide which content becomes a Framer CMS collection (blog, case studies, webinars) and which stays a page. Export what needs exporting.
03
Rebuild in Framer (weeks 1 to 3)
Design system first, then pages. You see the homepage direction within the first week. Feedback goes back and forth in Slack, changes ship in hours.
04
Redirects and technical SEO (week 3 or 4)
Titles, descriptions, canonicals, sitemap, schema, and the full 301 map, tested before launch on the staging URL.
05
DNS and cutover (launch day)
We handle the domain with you on a call, not dumped on you in a doc. Old site stays reachable until the new one is verified.
06
The 30-day watch
Search Console, broken links, crawl errors. Fixed as they appear, included in the price.
Page-by-page cutover, if you cannot move everything at once
Some sites have a blog with 400 posts or a member area that Framer is not built for. You do not have to move it all. Framer can proxy paths from your old host, so the high-traffic marketing pages move first and the rest stays where it is until you are ready.
Zero Longevity runs its site this way: the marketing pages Plenor designed live on Framer, the blog stayed on WordPress behind a proxy, and the whole thing serves 700,000 visitors a month.

Need more? An extra page is $650. Blog posts beyond the first 20 are $300 per 20. Full copywriting, extra code components and integrations are quoted on the call, in the same fixed number.
A migration that also needs a new brand is usually the 8-page tier plus the $2,000 brand identity. We tell you which tier you are on the first call, and the number does not move afterwards. How Plenor prices everything else
WordPress to Framer in practice: AceUp
AceUp, an AI leadership coaching platform with a $22.5M Series A, moved its marketing site from WordPress to Framer in 2026. Plenor designed and built the new site in Framer: homepage, demo page, five solution pages on one shared structure, and two CMS collections for webinars and whitepapers. AceUp’s own team ran the cutover and has been editing the site since.
That is the shape every migration should follow. Rebuild on a page system so the next page is a copy job, move the recurring content into the CMS, and hand the project to the team that will run it.
What does not move to Framer, and what to do instead
Honest list. A migration seller who says everything transfers has not done many.
Ecommerce checkout. Framer is not a store. Keep Shopify or your checkout on a subdomain and link to it.
Member areas and gated content. Use Memberstack or Outseta on top of Framer, or keep that part on the old host behind a proxy.
Heavy WordPress plugins (forms with logic, calculators, booking). Most have a hosted equivalent (Tally, Cal.com) that embeds cleanly. We map each one before quoting.
Very large blogs. Framer’s CMS is comfortable into the hundreds of items. Past that, the page-by-page cutover above is the answer.
Custom server code. Anything that runs on your server stays on a server. Framer serves static pages fast, which is the reason to move.
Questions founders ask before migrating to Framer
Will we lose our Google rankings?
Not if the redirects are done. Every indexed URL gets a 301 to its new home before DNS changes, and we watch Search Console for 30 days after. Rankings usually wobble for one to two weeks while Google recrawls, then settle. A migration without a redirect map is where the horror stories come from.
How long does a migration to Framer take?
Three to five weeks depending on page count: 3 weeks for up to 5 pages, 4 for up to 8, 5 for up to 12. You see the homepage direction inside the first week.
What do you need from us?
A 30-minute call, admin access to the current site and its hosting, Search Console access, and whatever brand material exists. One person on your side who can answer questions in Slack within a day. That is it.
Can we redesign at the same time?
Yes, and most clients do. A migration is the cheapest moment to redesign because the rebuild is happening anyway. If you also need a new brand, that is the $2,000 brand identity on top.
Who runs the site after launch?
Your team. Every migration ends with tutorial videos recorded for your specific site, and the Framer project is transferred to your account. If you would rather never think about it, the monthly design team plan is $3,800 a month.
Does Framer handle hosting?
Yes. Framer hosts the site on its own CDN, so the WordPress host, the security plugin and the backup subscription go away. You pay Framer’s site plan directly.
Do you migrate from Webflow or Squarespace too?
Yes. The process is the same; the export step differs. Webflow CMS exports to CSV and imports into Framer. Squarespace exports its blog as XML. Our published work so far is WordPress to Framer; we say plainly that the first Webflow migration we win becomes the next case study.
